Actions at the Antanimora Jail (central Jail of Antananarivo)

Madagascar

Since 2000, we have been regularly visiting the minor (underage) prisoners whose numbers vary from 60 to more than 100, offering moral and emotional support and spiritual counselling, as well as material needs such as new bedding and mattresses, regular supplements of rice, eggs, fish, breakfasts, and other food provisions, basic hygiene articles, etc. The needs are many as their living conditions are dire. It is our hope that as a result of our involvement with them, they will leave the jail with a new faith in God as well as the conviction to not fall back into a life of crime. So far we have seen some beautiful results of lives and hearts being changed through the efforts of this program.
