Tolerance of Others
Definition: Willingness or ability to accept the views, beliefs, practices, etc., of others that differ from one's own; freedom from bigotry (bias, discrimination) or prejudice. In the Bible, long-suffering, patience, and forbearance are all closely related to tolerance of others.
Definition: Identifying oneself with another person's feelings, experiences, and emotions, particularly in regards to misfortune; compassion, sympathy, understanding. We should put ourselves in the place of others, and consider how we would feel if positions were reversed.
Condemnation And Remorse
Definitions: Condemnation is a pronouncement of guilt; a strong expression of disapproval; doom. Remorse is the keen pain or anguish resulting from a sense of guilt; painful memory of wrongdoing.
Choice And Decision Making
Definition: The act of selecting freely after careful consideration. The Lord often engineers or allows situations as tests, to see what choices we will make. Exodus 32:26a Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the Lord's side? Let him come unto me.
Definition: Recognition of the quality, worth, or significance of people and things. In the Bible, the Lord often expressed His appreciation by giving people credit, praising them for their good qualities, or for making the right decisions. Job 1:8 And the Lord said...
