Charity project at Bahn Tahsalao School
TFI members had great fun organizing games and activities for the over 100 school children at Bhan Tahsalao school, an under privileged school in Pechaburi province in upcountry Thailand.
Providing Educational Opportunities Along the Indonesian/Timor Leste Border
In 2007 TFI member, Angel received several phone calls from a friend concerned about the educational need for families along the Indonesian/Timor Leste border. This spurred her concern and with the help of local sponsors TFI members gathered a variety of educational supplies for the schools there.
Jogja Early Learning Seminar
In March 2010 TFI volunteers conducted three days of seminars near Jogjakarta, Central Java for over 300 preschool (PAUD) teachers.
Kupang Early Learning Seminar
In May 2009, TFI members, working together with local officials and businessmen, conducted an Early Learning Seminar for over 300 teachers in Kupang in NTT province. Preschool teachers came from over 120 PAUD schools.
Excursions for Underprivileged Children
Kids’ Days Out The Family India organizes regular excursions for children from disadvantaged backgrounds to places of educational and historical interest.
School for Slum Children
The Family India runs a preparatory school for slum children between three to six years of age in Southern India. Besides receiving a good preschool education, these children also receive nutritious midday meals.
Training Programmes for Prison Staff
According to internet statistics, prison staff and administration have the third most stressful jobs in the world. In order to provide them with the psychological and emotional tools needed to keep stress at bay in their lives, we conduct regular seminars on stress management for prison staff.
Helping Crime-Affected Children
The Family India has been conducting pre-primary educational programmes for over a decade with children of female prison inmates who reside with their mothers in prison.
