The Family International South Asia

Award for Continuing Education Program
The Family International received an award from the Thai government for our continuing education program with juveniles in detention. This program comprises a series of bi-weekly educational classes that combine teaching English to the boys with leadership training.
Seminar, and Book Distribution in Angtong, Thailand
We were able to contact the director of the largest primary school in Angtong through flood relief work we did a previous year. The children come from underprivileged families and often lack in many basic necessities.
Wat Sa Kaew
An orphanage located an hour away from Bangkok houses 1,700 orphans and very poor children. The Buddhist monks who run the institution have to raise an enormous amount of finances and material assistance to be able to house, feed, and educate these children.
Kupang Early Learning Seminar
In May 2009, TFI members, working together with local officials and businessmen, conducted an Early Learning Seminar for over 300 teachers in Kupang in NTT province. Preschool teachers came from over 120 PAUD schools.
