a. Administration
The Family International has an administrative structure both on a worldwide and a regional level, which is dedicated to providing services to assist our membership worldwide.
Karen Zerby and Steve Kelly (better known by their pen names, Maria Fontaine and Peter Amsterdam) are the spiritual and administrative directors of the Family International.
TFI Services is the administrative body of the Family International. On a global scale, TFI Services acts as both the administrative and publications arm of the Family International. It provides a number of services to Family missionaries, such as the publishing of devotional content and general mission-related counsel for members worldwide; the production of motivational materials for the public; the sponsorship of resources to assist mission works and programs; and the disbursement of tithes and donations to subsidize services provided by TFI Services and aid to mission centers operating in developing countries or under emergency conditions.
The Family International's Charter
In 1995 the Family adopted a membership charter which codifies the beliefs, rights, and responsibilities of Family members. Along with our statement of faith, the Family’s charter outlines the most important principles, goals and beliefs of our movement, and codifies our administration.
While members and communities of the Family International are joined together by a common faith and purpose, they operate autonomously, within the general parameters of the Charter. Each member and mission work establishes their mission and goals, within the framework of the Family International's purpose, as expressed in our mission statement.
